Last night's victory assured them of a winning record on this road trip. The Orioles went 4-2 on their last trip, marking the first time they've recorded consecutive winning trips since the 2008 season.
Their starters are 3-0 with a 2.27 ERA in 31 2/3 innings and have posted quality starts in all five games on the trip.
Brian Roberts tied his season-high with three hits last night and has hit safely in 14 of 16 games since Aug. 22, batting .359 (23-64) with seven multi-hit games over that span and raising his average from .246 to .287.
Chris Tillman made his only career start against the Tigers on Aug. 3, 2009 at Comerica Park, when he allowed five runs and seven hits, with three walks and five strikeouts, in six innings. He didn't get the decision.
Tillman is 1-1 with a 4.80 ERA in three road starts this year. In his career, he's 2-5 with a 6.00 ERA in 10 starts away from home.
Tillman has allowed 20 home runs in the majors. Sixteen have come with the bases empty. Eight have come to the leadoff hitter in an inning.
